Real World 101: Teleseminar Format

Format

Call In                                                                    
(Duration: 5 Minutes)
Callers will have five minutes from the scheduled time of the teleseminar to call into the group.

Overview of the Structure of the Teleseminar         
(Duration: 5 Minutes)
The host of the teleseminar will review all of the guidelines for the call and answer any questions callers may have concerning the structure of the teleseminar. At this time, the phone call will be locked and no additional callers will be allowed into the teleseminar.

Introduction of the Host and Expert                         
(Duration: 5 Minutes)
The host of the teleseminar will introduce himself/herself as well as the expert. The teleseminar recording will begin at this time.

Overview of the Topic                                              
(Duration: 15 Minutes)
The host and the expert will conduct a basic Queston & Answer that will cover the basics of the teleseminar topic. During this time we ask that callers wait until the "Open Q&A" time to ask questions. 

Open Q&A                                                                  
(Duration: 25 Minutes)
Callers are free to ask any questions they have about the teleseminar topic. We ask that callers annouce their names before asking a question. If you have multiple questions, please wait until everyone participating on the call has had a chance to ask one question. 

Conclusion of Teleseminar                                         
(Duration: 5 Minutes)
The host will close the "Open Q&A" time and emphase important information received during this time. Also, the host will inform callers where they can find additional information and resources on the topic discussed. The recording will end at the offical termination of the teleseminar. 

Guidelines

  1. The teleseminar will be recorded. If you are not comfortable with sharing personal information over the phone, you are free to either use an alias during the call or wait until after the call to privately send a message to the expert.
  2. Please be respectful to others on the call by not talking over them and reducing your background noise. You will be informed of when the discussion is open for everyone to participate.
  3. If you have multiple questions, please hold off additional questions until everyone has had a chance to ask a question first.

Preparation

In order to get the most out of the teleseminar, we suggest that you do the following:

  • Make sure that for the call you will be in a quiet environment that is free from loud noises or distractions for the duration of the teleseminar.
  • Write down your questions ahead of time so you won’t forget them.
  • Have a pen and paper handy during the call so you can take notes or write down questions that may come up.
